December 21st, represent!

Here's a random line-up of famous births on this day in history:

1879:  Joseph Stalin, one of the 20th century's biggest assholes.

1913:  crossword puzzle, invented by Arthur Wynne,
published in the New York World.

1921:  Maila Nurmi a.k.a. Vampira, acted in Ed Wood's opus
(and quite possibly the worst film ever made), Plan 9 From Outer Space, and was a serious bad-ass for her time.

1940:  Frank Zappa, musician and unapologetic weirdo.

1937:  Jane Fonda, Academy Award-winning actress, with great titles under her belt such as Jane Fonda's Workout, Jane Fonda's Low Impact Aerobic Workout, and Jane Fonda's Favorite Fat Burners.

1965:  Andy Dick, (sometimes) actor, (mostly) public-incident artist.

1978:  Mike Vitar, Bop magazine pin-up circa 1993.
(Don't make like you don't know.)
