I've always been fascinated by the awesomely named Door to Hell, a natural gas field measuring 69 meters wide near Derweze, Turkmenistan that has been continuously burning for over 40 years. A sight to see on my never ending Travel To Do List.
Though one could say that while the last few days here in NYC have not been as hot, they've certainly been as inhospitable.
